HD View favorites collection on maps.live

As mentioned on the Virtual Earth blog on Monday, we have created a new favorites collection of available HD Views.  The collections feature in VE is great.  It’s easy to create your own, a nice tutorial is available on the windowslive site.

Please click on the map below to access our collection in Virtual Earth.  I don’t think I can host the collection view directly in this space (if someone knows how please post a comment), so this is just a screen shot of the collection as it exists today.  One place where the collection feature set could be improved is the facility to add links to external content.  To actually do some HD Viewing (subliminal verbization) you’ll need to hover over one of the push-pins and click the "More info …" link.

I know that there are several new gigapixel images coming online in the next few weeks.  We will post them to our favorites as they become available.  If you’re interested in getting alerted to new content then please subscribe to the collection rss feed.

If you’ve created an HD View that you’d like posted to the favorites please send us an email.  I’d love to see some content from outside of the U.S.
